I set this up so that we would all have a place to comment on the pages that we are reading at home between the times that we meet.
Click on the bottom where it says comments and leave one for us.  You ask questions, answer them or just let us know what you think about what you are reading.

THis is a great weekend to be reading especially The Rag and Bone Shop. I read it in 3 hours this morning. I had forgotten how good it is. Enjoy and think about the word puzzle in connection with the plot and the characters. We will talk about it on Tuesday.

If you want to watch a REALY GOOD tv show, try to catch MYSTERIES AT THE MUSEUM on the Travel Channel. We love it. They take about 4 different items out of different museums and explain them. It really neat and worth watching. The series is on Tuesday nights but we have been watching it most mornings at around 10:00am.

Yes, you should always read the epilogue which is the extra information about the end of the book and what happened later to the characters or with the situation.

For those of you reading The Westing Game, heir is the person who will inherit money or something after someone dies.

If you are getting too bored staying home in the rain, try googling Mysterynet . You will find lots of site with mysteries for you to read and try to solve. Yes, they give the answers. It is fun and great brain exercise.

Please, keep reading and working. I will be posting a new schedule soon, but first I will need to see how band camp is going this week to be sure that I can leave in the afternoon. Let us all know how your time is being spent.

Those of you reading Westing Game, let us know who you are thinking is the killer, heir, or the $20 million winner.

Are we doing more Huck Finn? And if so, what page do we read up to?

I don't know if we will meet again or not because almost everyone is at a band camp at one school or another. If however you would like to meet again for the book let me know and we can try to find a good date for it. So I say, go ahead and READ, READ, READ. Send any questions or comments about the book on the blog and we may be able to get the book done that way.

Read your clues and think of the song "America the Beautiful". Let me know if that helps you in any way.

When reading the Westing Game, pay attention at the end of chapter 16 because there is some information that we did not know yet about some of the characters that you should add to their cards.

Let me know if you have any guesses yet to the Westing Game.

Crow and Otis had lost their clues so we never actually saw them. We wrote down as clues what other characters guessed were the clues (king, queen) but they may not be correct. As you read begin to pay attention to try to find their real clues.

We also never got the clues for Madame Hoo and Dr. Jake Wexler because they did not attend the first meeting at the Westing house. Keep an eye out for their clues as well.

Westing Game players. Put your clues together and see what is missing. Blog your answer here so I can see who gets it correct.
CLUE: It is a name.
